Organizing With Wine Corks

So I've been trying to come up with a way to turn a mess like this:

Into something easy to work with, like a spool. But I don't have a whole bunch of spools laying around, so I had to improvise. I thought of something that I have a whole bunch of.

Corks.

It was easy. The best way to secure the end of a strand was just to slice a couple of lines on the top with a pair of scissors or an x-acto knife, like so:

And there ya go! An easy way to keep all these from getting tangled up and nearly unusable.

Of course it's gonna take me a while to get all of it done, but it's kinda therapeutic hand work. I'll post more progress pictures.
